Cold and Flu Guide

Some say that there is a season for cold and flu. Other people say that cold and flu is a function of the time of year where we tend to eat a lot more sugar and get a lot less sunlight.

Whatever the case, it's important to have a cold and flu "kit" so-to-speak. This way, if you do end up with a bug, you have some tools stocked and ready to help you  get you back on your feet, faster. 

That's why we put together this guide to help you get prepared. We've compiled things you can do as well as things to take. Although, this list is not meant to be a specific protocol but rather a guide to help support you.

Things you can do to combat cold and flu:

Of course, there are things you can take the help you get well soon (below). But there are also healthy behaviors that are worth mentioning. 

If you get sick remember these tips: 

#1: Avoid sugar/Eat nutrition - sugar weakens the immune system so be sure to avoid it. Do eat a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals, particularly vitamin C, zinc and antioxidants.

#5: Wash your hands: Regular hand washing and proper hygiene practices can help prevent the spread and chances of reinfection.

#8: Stay isolated: If you have a cold or flu, it's important to avoid close contact with others to prevent spreading it. Isolating yourself can also help you get the rest you need to recover more quickly.
