#3: Get HydratedDrink plenty of fluids, such as water, herbal tea and clear broths. This can help keep your mucous membranes moist and loosen congestion. Proper hydration also supports your body's immune response.

#4: Gargle with salt water: Gargling with warm salt water can soothe a sore throat and help reduce inflammation. It may also help prevent the virus from replicating in your throat.

#5: Wash your hands: Regular hand washing and proper hygiene practices can help prevent the spread and chances of reinfection.

#6: Use saline nasal rinses: Saline nasal rinses can help alleviate congestion, reduce inflammation and keep your nasal passages moist. This can make it easier for your body to clear mucus and improve your comfort while you recover.

#7: Steam inhalation: Inhaling steam from a bowl of hot water or taking a hot shower can help ease congestion and relieve nasal stuffiness. It can also soothe throat irritation and promote easier breathing.

#8: Stay isolated: If you have a cold or flu, it's important to avoid close contact with others to prevent spreading it. Isolating yourself can also help you get the rest you need to recover more quickly.
